Job summary

Doctors Hospital Cayman is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to deliver outstanding service to patients and families, helping them understand appointments and financial responsibilities while collecting co-payments at the point of service.

You will handle registration, scheduling, referral management, patient flow, insurance verification, payments, statement processing, CPT codes, and support the Patient Services team to ensure smooth hospital operations.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in a medical office or hospital.
• Diploma in Healthcare Administration or Medical Terminology preferred.
• Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
• Spanish language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Registration, scheduling appointments, referral management and pre-registration.
• Escort patients and manage patient flow.
• Confirm insurance eligibility and/or benefits.
• Answer calls and provide statements information.
• Collect co-payments at time of service.
• Balance cash drawer and post payments.
• Educate families on services and payment options.
• Update demographics and insurance information in the system.
• Ensure CPT codes are assigned correctly.
• Maintain accuracy of encounter sheets and physician name.
