Job summary

KPJ Sri Manjung Specialist Hospital is seeking an accounts payable/billing clerk to manage patient billing processes and payments in a busy hospital setting. You will generate receipts, enter charges into the HITs system, and ensure accurate finalization of patient bills against entitlements.

Join our team to assist registration, monitor Guarantee Letters, handle patient inquiries, collect deposits on admission and support the credit control unit as needed.

Qualifications

• SPM holder or equivalent work experience.
• One year’s experience in accounts payable management.

Responsibilities

• Generate receipts for collections from patients.
• Key in charges from charged forms, discharge slips, prescription slips and medication charts into HITs system.
• Finalize patient bills and check entitlements under guaranteed letters.
• Submit discharged insurance forms to consultants.
• Assist registration counter on validity and coverage of guaranteed letters.
• Inform Outpatient Service Staff about Guarantee Letter status and new debtor codes.
• Handle patient and company inquiries for itemized bills.
• File and save documents properly.
• Assist credit controller unit as needed.
• Input remarks of patient validity of GL into patient details.
• Issue and monitor issuance of guaranteed letters for referrals.
• Register inpatient, outpatient, daycare and newborn admissions into HITS/KCIS.
• Accompany patients/relatives to wards.
• Collect deposits on admission and partial payments.
• Print interim bills and top up deposits.
• Attend to patient/relative enquiries.
• Relieve cashier and MCO as needed.
• Promote understanding of Patient and Family Rights.
