Job summary

KK Group of Companies (Retail) is seeking a Shop Assistant for its KK SUPER MART location in Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur. This part-time role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining store operations to support retail success.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, stocking and pricing merchandise, operating the cash register, and ensuring clean, organized aisles. Flexible weekend shifts and on-the-job training are provided to foster growth.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential (open to first-time job seekers).
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, helpful and professional demeanour.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication in English and Malay; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product enquiries and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
• Stock shelves, maintain product displays and ensure merchandise is organised and clearly priced.
• Operate the cash register accurately and process transactions with courtesy.
• Keep aisles, shelves and customer areas clean and tidy.
• Handle stock receiving and verify deliveries against purchase orders.
• Support promotions and merchandise displays as directed by management.
• Assist with inventory checks and report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards.
