Job summary

KK Supermart in Malaysia is looking for a Shop Assistant to keep store operations running smoothly and deliver a positive shopping experience. You will handle daily tasks, stock control, and customer service while supporting promotions and maintaining high display standards.

The role requires 1–3 years retail experience, good communication skills, and reliability. Flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays are expected, with ownership of transport considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is an advantage.
• 1–3 years of retail experience preferred.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable using POS systems and basic computer applications.
• Able to work flexible shifts, weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
• Possess own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and ensure everything is well organized.
• Receive and check incoming goods and ensure merchandise is recorded correctly.
• Arrange and replenish products on shelves and maintain proper product displays.
• Assist with stock checks, inventory handling, and return of goods.
• Keep the store clean, neat, safe, and customer-ready.
• Operate the POS system, equipment, and machinery according to company guidelines.
• Take responsibility for the proper care of store equipment and company assets.
• Attend to customers professionally and assist with their needs.
• Support the team during promotions, stock counts, peak hours, and other store activities.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and report issues to the relevant person in charge.
• Help maintain the professional image and service standards of KK Supermart.
