This contract role offers flexibility to manage several projects while applying specialist surveying expertise on a part-time or freelance basis. You will conduct surveys with GPS/theodolites, prepare reports, and collaborate with architects, engineers and PMs to ensure accurate data and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Malaysian professional qualification or certification as a surveyor is required.
• Experience as a site surveyor in construction, ideally in Malaysia or Southeast Asia.
• Proficiency with GPS, theodolites and laser levels.
• Knowledge of Sarawak regulations and local codes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate site surveys and measurements using modern surveying equipment.
• Prepare detailed survey reports and technical documentation for construction projects.
• Identify site constraints, risks and opportunities affecting planning and execution.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to ensure data meets requirements.
• Establish and maintain reference points and benchmarks for sites.

About the role

Victorious Realty Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Part-Time / Freelance Site Surveyor to join our team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced surveyors looking for flexible, project-based work in the construction and surveying sector. Based in Kuching, Sarawak, you will provide essential surveying expertise to support our construction and property development projects. This role offers the flexibility to work on a part-time or freelance basis, allowing you to manage multiple projects or maintain other professional commitments whilst contributing your specialist knowledge to our growing portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct accurate site surveys and measurements using modern surveying equipment and technology
• Prepare detailed survey reports and technical documentation for construction projects
• Identify potential site constraints, risks and opportunities that may impact project planning and execution
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to ensure survey data meets project requirements
• Establish and maintain reference points and benchmarks for construction sites
• Perform quality checks on surveying work to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards
• Maintain accurate records of all survey data and site information
• Provide expert advice on site conditions and recommendations for construction feasibility
• Liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders regarding site survey matters

What we're looking for

• Professional qualification or certification as a surveyor recognised in Malaysia, such as a degree in Surveying or related discipline
• Proven experience working as a site surveyor within the construction industry, preferably in Malaysia or Southeast Asia
• Strong proficiency with surveying software and equipment, including GPS, theodolites and laser levels
• Excellent understanding of construction practices, building regulations and Malaysian building codes
• Ability to produce accurate technical drawings and survey reports
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse project teams
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality results
• Flexibility and reliability in managing variable workloads on a freelance basis
• Knowledge of local Sarawak regulations and building standards is advantageous
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various project sites
