Job summary

Bybit is seeking a highly analytical P2P Risk Strategy Specialist in Kuala Lumpur to design, optimize, and scale its risk automation framework. You will protect the platform against P2P transaction risks, including account takeovers and money laundering, using Python and SQL.

You will combine a strong data background with hands-on coding to detect fraud patterns across massive transaction ecosystems and translate insights into actionable risk policies and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in risk strategy, transaction monitoring, or trust & safety in Fintech/Banking/Digital marketplaces.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex joins, window functions, and large-scale databases.
• Proficient in Python with pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, networkx for data manipulation and rule automation.
• Experience identifying complex fraud networks, velocity anomalies, or multi-account abuse patterns.

Responsibilities

• Mine high-volume logs to uncover P2P fraud vectors, synthetic networks, collusion rings, and anomalous transfer patterns.
• Design, implement, and iterate real-time decisioning rules and risk policies to balance security and user experience.
• Write production-grade SQL and Python scripts to analyze graphs, velocity, device signals, and user metrics.
• Translate models into operational strategies, set thresholds, and run A/B tests to measure performance.
• Perform root-cause analysis on fraudulent transactions, chargebacks, and ATO incidents to minimize losses.
• Build and maintain automated dashboards and KPI tracking systems.
