Job summary

Bybit is seeking a Senior STR / Investigations Specialist in Kuala Lumpur to conduct financial crime investigations and support STR/SAR reporting. You will analyse transaction activity, KYC data and on-chain activity, drafting clear conclusions for regulatory review.

You will collaborate with Transaction Monitoring, KYC, AML Operations and other Compliance teams to ensure timely, accurate reporting and strengthen defenses across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in AML, transaction monitoring or financial crime investigations.
• Experience investigating unusual or suspicious activity and documenting outcomes.
• Familiar with STR/SAR preparation and regulatory reporting.
• Strong AML/CFT principles and investigation methodologies.
• Experience with transaction monitoring tools or blockchain analytics.
• Experience in digital assets/fintech preferred.
• Strong written communication and documentation.
• Able to work across jurisdictions and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end financial crime investigations from monitoring to escalation.
• Analyze transaction activity, KYC data, and on-chain activity for risk.
• Draft investigation conclusions and STR/SAR recommendations.
• Prepare STR/SAR narratives per internal standards and regs.
• Ensure investigations and STR/SAR cases meet timelines.
• Escalate complex cases to STR/Investigations Manager or MLRO.
• Maintain complete case records with audit trails.
• Collaborate with TM, KYC, AML Ops and other teams for evidence.
• Identify emerging typologies and control gaps.
• Support audits, regulatory enquiries, remediation activities.
