Job summary

Bybit in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Blockchain Risk Control Analyst/Researcher to advance AI-augmented threat intelligence and post-quantum cryptographic security. The ideal candidate will combine blockchain forensics expertise with machine learning for anomaly detection and awareness of quantum threats to current cryptographic foundations across blockchain ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Blockchain security, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and JavaScript for blockchain analytics.
• Experience applying ML/AI to blockchain data analysis, fraud detection, or threat intelligence.
• Strong publication record in top industry or academic venues is valued.
• Experience with blockchain monitoring/forensic tools and analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with NIST PQC standards and lattice/hash-based cryptography is a plus.
• Understanding of quantum computing threats to elliptic curve cryptography and key management in Web3.
• Security or risk control experience is a plus.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• English is essential; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Leveraging LLM techniques to develop next-generation on-chain risk identification and threat intelligence systems.
• Leading forensic investigations on real crypto theft, fraud, and market manipulation cases.
• Researching post-quantum cryptographic algorithms and their implications for blockchain security.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders for incident response.
• Engaging with academic institutions to translate frontier research into deployable tools.
