Job summary

Valiram, a leading Southeast Asian luxury retailer, seeks an Operations Manager to oversee our network of luxury watch boutiques. You will drive governance, SOP compliance, inventory integrity, and multi-store operations across Malaysia, ensuring brand standards and loss prevention.

The role requires collaborating with store leaders, Brand Manager, and partners to deliver seamless store performance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of retail experience, including at least 3 years in Retail Operations, Store Management, or Multi-store Operations Support.
• Experience in Luxury Watches, Luxury Retail, Premium Retail or Jewellery Retail (advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of Inventory Control, Stock Movement, Governance, Retail SOPs, Audit & Compliance, Loss Prevention, Workforce Planning, Retail Operations Systems (RAMCO experience is advantageous).
• Able to travel frequently between boutiques and support retail operations during weekends, events, and business-critical situations when required.

• Conduct regular store audits and operational reviews to ensure compliance with company, brand, and regulatory requirements.

Operations Manager | Location: Malaysia

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We are hiring an experienced Operations Manager to oversee retail operations across our network of luxury watch boutiques. This role is ideal for a commercially minded retail operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment and possesses a strong background in inventory governance, store operations, SOP compliance, and multi-store management.

For this role, you will work closely with Store leaders and the Brand Manager to ensure operational excellence, inventory integrity, business continuity, and exceptional store standards across all boutiques.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Retail Operations & Governance

• Drive consistent execution of retail operational standards and SOPs across all assigned boutiques.
• Conduct regular store audits and operational reviews to ensure compliance with company, brand, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor store readiness, cash handling procedures, security controls, housekeeping, and back-of-house operations.
• Identify operational gaps and implement corrective action plans with store leadership teams.

Inventory & Asset Management

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc stocktakes with a focus on achieving 100% inventory accuracy.
• Manage stock reconciliation, stock movement controls, inter-boutique transfers, and discrepancy investigations.
• Safeguard luxury watch inventory, company assets, VM materials, IT equipment, and operational supplies.
• Ensure complete documentation and audit-ready records for all inventory transactions.
• Champion loss prevention initiatives and ensure adherence to security and insurance protocols.
• Monitor access controls, safe custody procedures, alarm systems, and incident reporting processes.
• Support investigations and documentation relating to inventory variances, losses, damages, or operational incidents.
• Maintain business continuity plans and emergency preparedness across boutiques.

Store Support & Facilities Management

• Manage boutique maintenance, repairs, store upgrades, and operational projects.
• Coordinate with landlords, vendors, contractors, IT, Finance, Marketing, HR, and Warehouse teams.
• Oversee operational supplies, uniforms, packaging materials, and replenishment planning.
• Ensure timely resolution of operational issues to support uninterrupted store performance.

Workforce & Store Support

• Monitor rostering, attendance accuracy, leave planning, and manpower deployment.
• Partner with Store Managers and HR to address operational workforce matters.
• Support onboarding, refresher training, and operational SOP compliance initiatives.
• Provide operational insights and documentation for staff performance discussions when required.

What We’re Looking For:
