Operations Executive / Junior Operations Executive

We are seeking an Operations Executive with an engineering background to carry out directives and improvement initiatives assigned by top management, ensuring they are translated into action, followed through to completion, and delivered on time across multiple project sites. This role acts as the operational arm that turns management decisions into on-the-ground results, while taking full ownership of assigned tasks and resolving both technical and non-technical challenges along the way.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute improvement projects and directives assigned by management, in line with the scope, timeline, and priorities set by leadership.

Break down management directives into clear action steps and coordinate with relevant departments and site teams to carry them out.

Take full ownership of assigned tasks, driving them proactively rather than waiting to be pushed, and seeing them through to complete resolution.

Identify improvement opportunities within the scope of assigned work, and recommend or implement solutions to both technical (equipment, systems, processes) and non-technical (coordination, communication, compliance) challenges encountered along the way.

Follow up closely with departments and contractors to ensure assigned tasks are completed on schedule and reported back to management.

Investigate operational issues flagged by management, and troubleshoot obstacles that arise during execution, escalating only when beyond own authority to resolve.

Develop and update SOPs, work processes, and documentation to reflect management-approved changes.

Support digitalisation and system improvement initiatives directed by management, ensuring smooth rollout and adoption.

Conduct site visits as instructed to verify execution progress, troubleshoot on-ground issues, and report findings back to management.

Prepare regular status updates and reports to keep management informed on the progress of assigned directives.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, or Manufacturing) preferred.

Willing to travel regularly to the sites in the East Coast Region.

Strong sense of ownership, able to take instructions, plan action steps, and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision.

Sharp problem-solving ability across both technical and non-technical challenges, from site/equipment issues to coordination and process gaps.

Good communication skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin is an advantage for liaising with contractors/ suppliers.

Comfortable using AI tools and digital platforms for research, reporting, and task execution.

Reliable, responsive, and accountable, able to manage multiple assigned directives simultaneously and report progress clearly.
