Job summary

Kanry Search in Johor Bahru is seeking an Operations Assistant Manager (Logistics) to oversee daily logistics, warehouse, transport and moving operations. The role includes planning delivery schedules, coordinating manpower, and ensuring safety and SOP compliance.

The position requires a diploma or degree in logistics or related fields, 3–5 years’ experience in 3PL or movement/warehouse ops, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Safety Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, distribution or supply chain operations.
• Experience in 3PL, moving/relocation, transportation or warehouse operations is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in Risk Assessment (RA) and workplace safety is an advantage.
• Safety Supervisor background is welcome, provided they are comfortable with onsite operational work.
• Good knowledge of logistics, transport operations and safety procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willing to travel to customer sites, warehouses and other operational locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics, warehouse, transport and moving operations.
• Plan and coordinate delivery schedules, manpower and onsite activities.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, vendors and transport providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle quotations, pricing and basic presales activities.
• Monitor delivery performance and resolve operational and customer issues.
• Conduct hands-on risk assessments and ensure proper safety measures are implemented.
• Conduct safety briefings and training for drivers and operational staff.
• Ensure staff, contractors and drivers follow company SOPs and safety requirements.
• Supervise operational staff and support manpower planning and work allocation.
• Monitor vehicle servicing and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain operational, safety and service-related records and reports.
• Support customer site visits, audits and onsite operations when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality and cost control.
• Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Assistant Operations Manager (Logistics)

Location: Taman Ekoperniagaan, Johor Bahru
Relocation: Will relocate to Kulai, near JPO from November onwards
Industry: 3PL / Logistics
Salary: RM6,000 – RM7,000 Basic + Variable Bonus (VB)

Job Responsibilities

Oversee daily logistics, warehouse, transport and moving operations.

Requirements

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Safety Management or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, distribution or supply chain operations.

Experience in 3PL, moving/relocation, transportation or warehouse operations is an advantage.

Hands-on experience in Risk Assessment (RA) and workplace safety is an advantage.

Candidates with a Safety Supervisor background are welcome, provided they are comfortable with onsite operational work.
