Job summary

TP is seeking a proactive Desktop Engineer in Penang to provide day-to-day IT support, maintain equipment, and ensure smooth operations. You will handle desktop and peripheral support, install Windows OS, software, and hardware, and resolve various IT issues for staff.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, good communication, and the ability to work on-site at GBS Mahsuri Penang or Livingston Georgetown. Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Experience in desktop support or helpdesk preferred.
• Strong Windows OS, hardware, and software troubleshooting skills.
• Familiar with Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple requests.
• On-site work at GBS Mahsuri Penang or Livingston Georgetown.
• Immediate joiners strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems, software applications, and hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity, and system-related issues.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Office 365, email, VPN, and user access issues.
• Set up workstations, user accounts, and IT equipment for new employees.
• Perform routine maintenance, software updates, and security patching.
• Manage and resolve IT support tickets within SLAs.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, incidents, and troubleshooting activities.
• Escalate complex technical issues to relevant IT teams when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and procedures.
