Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking Office IT Executives to handle helpdesk calls and emails from internal users in Georgetown, diagnosing hardware and software issues and performing initial setups of desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.

Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in IT with at least 3 years in a Helpdesk role, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and willingness to travel with own transport. This is an on-site position in Penang/Georgetown area.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a Helpdesk/IT support role.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proactive and able to work independently or in a team.
• Good knowledge of Windows Desktop OS and common desktop applications.
• Knowledge of basic security and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to helpdesk calls and emails from internal user with IT related issues and resolve in an efficient and timely manner.
• Perform first level diagnose and troubleshooting for hardware and software's issues.
• Perform initial setups of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system maintenance, updates, and antivirus check.
• Manage IT asset inventory, documentation, and Helpdesk records.
• Assist with the deployment of new technologies and upgrades.
• Document technical procedures and create user guides.
• Liaise with external vendors for repairs or upgrades.
• Provide after office hours standby if deemed fit.
