Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Office IT Executive (Technical Support) in Georgetown to handle helpdesk requests, diagnose hardware and software issues, and set up desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. The role includes routine maintenance, asset management, and vendor liaison.

Ideal candidates have a IT diploma/degree and at least 3 years' experience in helpdesk support, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, plus a solid Windows and MS Office foundation.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in IT or equivalent.
• 3 years minimum experience in Helpdesk support role or related experience.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• High level of self-motivation and accountability.
• Strong foundation in Windows Desktop Operating System.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, and common desktop applications.
• Knowledge in basic security and networking concepts.
• Understanding of Wi‑Fi technologies is an added advantage.
• Willingness to learn and grow in an IT support environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
• Applicant must be willing to travel and possess own transport.

Responsibilities

• Respond to helpdesk calls and emails from internal user with IT related issues and resolve in an efficient and timely manner.
• Perform first level diagnose and troubleshooting for hardware and software's issues.
• Perform initial setups of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system maintenance, updates, and antivirus check.
• Manage IT asset inventory, documentation, and Helpdesk records.
• Assist with the deployment of new technologies and upgrades.
• Document technical procedures and create user guides.
• Liaise with external vendors for repairs or upgrades.
• Provide after office hours standby if deemed fit.
