Job summary

NEXAS in Malaysia seeks an experienced professional to manage sea freight consolidation (LCL/FCL) under neutral operations, ensuring seamless service to forwarding partners through efficiency, compliance, and strategic carrier management.

You will oversee daily consolidation operations, optimize routes, negotiate rates, and supervise documentation, with a focus on punctual schedules and cost efficiency across trade lanes. Leadership and stakeholder management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Maritime Transport, Logistics, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years’ experience in ocean freight or consolidation management.
• Deep understanding of shipping lines, NVOCC operations, and customs procedures.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-driven.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, plan and manage the daily LCL and FCL consolidation operations under NEXAS MBL.
• Manage space allocation, container groupage, and route optimization.
• Negotiate ocean freight rates and contracts with carriers and NVOCCs.
• Supervise the documentation and compliance process for MBL/HBL issuance.
• Ensure schedule reliability and cargo flow consistency across trade lanes.
• Monitor team performance, operational KPIs, and cost efficiency.
• Work with Customer Service and regional teams to ensure proactive updates and service delivery.
