Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Freight Forwarding professional to join the Operational Care Team in Malaysia. You will execute bookings, generate export documents, and liaise with Customer Care Specialists to meet requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, ideally within Sea Logistics.
• Strong customer management and engagement throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a solutions focus to changing needs.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders across functions.
• Advanced decision making and problem solving abilities.
• Fluent in local language and advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create/complete shipment details in the internal transport system, coordinate with stakeholders, and organise transport while considering country regulations and export compliance.
• Monitor and report on operational performance of carriers and vendors with accurate data for customer reporting.
• Prepare documentation such as BAL, OBL instructions, VGM and filings within required timelines.
• Review shipping instructions for deviations and ensure alignment with regulations and routing information.
• Support and resolve supplier invoices, rate discrepancies, claims and disputes.
