Job summary

Molex Malaysia–Penang seeks a Technical Program Manager / Engineer (NPI Product Development) to drive complex projects from feasibility to high‑volume production. You will lead cross‑functional teams, ensure on‑time delivery, and manage budgets and quality along the PDP framework.

The role requires strong project management, design collaboration, and the ability to coordinate with global teams across time zones, delivering reliable electrical‑connectivity solutions in a high‑power context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or engineering equivalent.
• Experience leading projects or equivalent engineering experience.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (MS Project preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to work across time zones (USA & Asia) and participate in off-hours calls.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects from feasibility through NPI.
• Define and monitor project schedules and critical path.
• Act as subject-matter expert on the Product Development Process (PDP).
• Challenge the status quo to improve practices and procedures.
• Develop and manage project plans including scope, objectives and deliverables.
• Coordinate and lead project team meetings with effective communication.
• Monitor progress, address issues or risks, and report to stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
• Lead change management, including scope changes and stakeholder alignment.
• Provide leadership and mentorship on PDP practices.
• Interface between project management and plant teams.
• Collaborate with Global Product Managers and Engineering teams.
• Work with manufacturing teams to qualify tools and deliver parts/solutions.
