Job summary
Molex Malaysia seeks a Process Engineer (NPI SMT & Automation) to support new product introduction and manufacturing process development within an SMT environment. You will develop, optimise, and sustain manual, semi-automated, and automated assembly processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance for new product launches.
Based in Penang, you will join the CCS Manufacturing Engineering team, collaborating with Product Design, Automation, Quality, Operations, and suppliers to
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Manufacturing Engineering.
- 4–5 years in NPI builds, process engineering, or automation development.
- Knowledge of SMT, soldering, and assembly processes.
- Experience with DOE, SPC, PFMEA, and process validation techniques.
- Experience using CAD tools for tooling reviews.
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimise, and sustain SMT, reflow, wave soldering, and solder paste printing processes.
- Support NPI projects by ensuring process readiness and equipment qualification.
- Collaborate with Design, Quality, Operations, and Suppliers to develop manufacturing solutions.
- Develop tooling, fixtures, and automation equipment from concept through implementation.
- Conduct process studies and validation activities to improve quality and efficiency.
