Job summary

Molex Malaysia (Molex (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd) is seeking an Engineer, New Product Development Sourcing (NPD Sourcing Engineer) to lead sourcing throughout the Product Development Process (PDP). You will partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and suppliers to ensure competitive cost, supply continuity, and successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline with exposure to sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; experience in sourcing or product development is a plus.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supplier management, and cost analysis.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering and Product Development teams throughout the PDP.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for new product development projects.
• Lead sourcing activities including RFQs, commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations, and cost analyses.
• Drive Design-to-Value initiatives and support BOM and CAPEX objectives.
• Develop strategic supplier relationships and support supplier qualification and onboarding.
• Identify and mitigate sourcing and supply chain risks to support flawless product launches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sourcing deliverables, process improvements, and innovation opportunities.
