Job summary

ENG TEKNOLOGI SDN. BHD., a subsidiary of Engtek Group, invites suitably qualified candidates for the New Product Introduction Engineer role in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

The candidate will coordinate with Production Engineering and QA to develop strategies for new products and provide engineering support across the product development lifecycle. Responsibilities include generating timing plans, liaising with customers and suppliers, and implementing manufacturing plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Candidate should be able to read and analyze drawings.
• Ability to work independently with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Production Engineering and QA teams to develop strategies for new products.
• Provide engineering support for activities in the product development process.
• Generate timing plans with internal teams for customers.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers on new projects.
• Develop and implement Manufacturing Plans for products.
• Assist production and manage communication across departments.
• Develop product test plans and perform tests per manufacturing process.
• Assist NPI Manager and integrate products per manufacturing principles.
• APQP submission management of related tasks.
• Assist in transition of design prototypes into cost-efficient, high-volume products.

Job Description

Coordinate with Production Engineering and QA groups to develop strategies for new products.

Provide engineering support for all activities in product development process

Generating timing plans with the internal teams to then be discussed and shared with the customers.

Liaise with customers & suppliers on new projects

Coordinate with engineering and production management departments and develop and implement Manufacturing Plan for products.

Assist production department and manage communication across all departments

Develop product test plans and perform production test according to manufacturing process

Assist New Product Introduction Manager and mange integration of all products according to manufacturing principles.

APQP submission - management of all related tasks

Work with design engineering and assist in transition of design prototypes into cost efficient and high-volume products.
