Job summary

A global technology services provider is seeking candidates for a Network Operations Centre role in Kuala Lumpur. You will monitor and support data centre network infrastructure while acting as the primary contact for network incidents. The ideal candidate should possess experience in large scale network operations and networking fundamentals including IP addressing and routing. Qualifications

• Experience within a Network Operations Centre or large scale network operations environment.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Hands on exposure to Cisco, Juniper routing and switching technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support data centre network infrastructure across routing and switching platforms.
• Act as a primary point of contact for network incidents and operational issues.
• Perform Layer 1 to Layer 3 fault isolation and troubleshooting.
• Manage incidents in line with defined service level agreements.
• Escalate and collaborate with cross functional teams and vendors to restore services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and network changes.
• Follow established operational procedures and contribute to process improvements.
• Support network moves, adds, and changes within the data centre environment.
• Contribute to monitoring optimisation, reporting, and automation initiatives.

Skills

Experience within a Network Operations Centre or large scale network operations environment

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing, VLANs, routing, and switching

Hands on exposure to Cisco, Juniper routing and switching technologies

Experience using network monitoring and ticketing systems

Ability to diagnose and isolate network issues across physical and logical layers

Strong documentation and communication skills

Education

CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent network certifications
