CTS Horizon Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a senior professional to lead CME and infrastructure planning activities for power systems and telecom site readiness.
You will coordinate planning, governance, and technical oversight for new and existing network infrastructure projects across DC/AC power, generators, rectifiers, UPS, HVAC, and grounding systems. The role requires strong leadership, 5–10 years of telecom infrastructure experience, and professional electrical certifications.
Responsible for leading CME and infrastructure planning activities involving power infrastructure readiness, site hardening, infrastructure improvement, operational readiness, technical assessment, and infrastructure sustainability initiatives to ensure reliable, safe, and scalable network infrastructure operations.
The role focuses on planning, coordination, technical governance, and infrastructure improvement activities related to DC/AC power systems, generators, rectifiers, battery systems, HVAC, UPS, grounding systems, and related telecommunications infrastructure requirements for new and existing network sites.
The role also acts as the focal point for CME and infrastructure-related planning matters while supporting Operations and Rollout teams on technical and infrastructure planning requirements whenever required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead CME and infrastructure planning activities for new and existing network infrastructure projects.
Review and validate power requirements, infrastructure readiness, and technical feasibility for network expansion, upgrade, relocation, hardening, and improvement projects.
Lead planning and assessment activities involving DC/AC power systems, generators, rectifiers, UPS, HVAC systems, grounding systems, and related infrastructure components.
Identify infrastructure limitations, site readiness concerns, operational risks, and improvement requirements.
Lead infrastructure sustainability, site hardening, resilience improvement, and operational readiness initiatives.
2. Infrastructure Improvement, Safety & Technical Governance
Lead technical site assessment, infrastructure inspection, and readiness validation activities where required.
Provide technical direction and coordination involving contractors, vendors, consultants, and relevant authorities.
Review infrastructure performance, load requirements, utilization concerns, safety considerations, and improvement opportunities.
Ensure infrastructure planning activities consider operational safety, equipment protection, infrastructure resilience, maintainability, and compliance with applicable technical and safety requirements.
Provide technical recommendations and planning direction for infrastructure upgrades, improvement projects, and operational readiness initiatives.
Support long-term infrastructure reliability, optimization, sustainability, and safety enhancement initiatives.
3. Operational Support & Technical Coordination
Act as focal point for CME and infrastructure-related technical planning matters.
Support Operations and Rollout teams on CME-related technical matters whenever required.
Provide technical coordination and planning support during infrastructure upgrade, migration, maintenance, restoration, and implementation activities.
Support technical assessment and troubleshooting activities for infrastructure-related issues involving power systems and supporting facilities.
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure infrastructure readiness and technical alignment.
4. Planning Governance, Documentation & Reporting
Ensure proper maintenance of technical documentation, infrastructure records, assessment reports, and supporting planning references.
Support compliance with company standards, technical requirements, safety guidelines, and planning governance processes.
Prepare and review technical reports, infrastructure assessments, planning summaries, management updates, and supporting documentation.
Support planning governance, infrastructure visibility, and coordination activities for ongoing projects and improvement initiatives.
5. Team Leadership & Shared Planning Support
Lead and guide supporting engineers or technical support personnel under CME and infrastructure planning activities.
Provide technical guidance, coordination, and work allocation for supporting planning and infrastructure activities.
Support workload balancing and departmental continuity through cross-functional planning support whenever required.
Coordinate with other planning leads to ensure alignment between infrastructure planning, operational requirements, rollout readiness, and network sustainability initiatives.
Key Requirements:
1. Diploma/bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with practical experience in telecommunications infrastructure, power systems, and network support environments.
2.Professional certifications in electrical competency (ECoS PW4/PJE A1) are an advantage and demonstrate technical expertise in electrical installations and maintenance.
3.Extensive experience leading technical projects involving rectifier systems, standby generator systems, power modernization, site relocation, HVAC systems, and critical network facility upgrades.
4. Five to ten (5–10) years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure operations, power system planning, implementation, maintenance, and network site support.
5. Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience in coordinating vendors, contractors, operations teams, utility providers, and cross-functional technical teams to deliver network infrastructure projects.
