Job summary

Aolani Cloud is seeking a Lead Data Center Infrastructure Manager in Kuala Lumpur to lead review and optimization of renovation and construction plans for MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, low-voltage, and fire protection. You will establish delivery plans, track milestones, and ensure on-time project completion.

You will manage equipment selection, FAT/SAT, and site commissioning, while implementing standardized O&M procedures and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Electrical Engineering, M&E Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years of data center infrastructure O&M experience.
• Familiar with Tier III or higher operation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead review and optimization of renovation and construction plans for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, LV, fire protection).
• Develop and implement delivery plans, track milestones, ensure on-time project completion.
• Establish quality control systems to ensure construction meets standards and client requirements.
• Oversee equipment selection and FAT/SAT, supervise installation and commissioning.
• Review system test plans and commissioning schedules; manage testing and acceptance of power and environmental systems.
• Establish standardized O&M procedures and emergency response plans; implement preventive maintenance.
• Lead capacity management and maintain asset records, logs, and incident reports.
• Monitor energy metrics (PUE) and drive energy efficiency upgrades.

Job description

Lead the review and optimization of renovation and construction plans for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, low-voltage, fire protection, etc.);

Develop and implement delivery plans, track critical path milestones, and ensure on-time project completion;

Establish quality control systems to ensure construction meets industry standards and client requirements.

Equipment Management

Responsible for the selection and technical documentation of key equipment (UPS, chillers, precision air conditioners, distribution cabinets, etc.);

Organize Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and supervise installation and commissioning; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.

System Testing and Acceptance

Review system test plans and integrated commissioning schedules; responsible for the testing and acceptance of power distribution systems, liquid cooling systems, environmental systems (temperature, humidity, air quality), and Building Management System (BMS).

Operations and Maintenance Management

Establish standardized O&M procedures and emergency response plans;

Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure critical infrastructure reliability above 99.99%.

Lead capacity management and expansion assessments; maintain comprehensive documentation including asset records, maintenance logs, and incident reports.

Energy Efficiency and Cost Optimization

Monitor key energy metrics such as PUE and implement energy-saving strategies;

Evaluate the feasibility of new technologies and drive smart infrastructure upgrades.

Requirements

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree or above in HVAC, Electrical Engineering, M&E Engineering, or related fields.

Delivery Experience

Proven experience in large-scale data center project delivery; familiarity with construction processes and quality standards in the data center industry.

O&M Experience

At least 2 years of experience in data center infrastructure operations and maintenance;

Familiar with Tier III or higher-level operation standards;

Proficient in managing and troubleshooting key systems (UPS, chillers, precision air conditioning, etc.);

Knowledge of liquid cooling system principles and related maintenance.

Management Skills

Strong coordination and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders (IDC providers, equipment vendors, etc.);

Experience in leading technical teams to deliver and maintain infrastructure projects.

Core Competencies

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to overtime during critical project phases.
