Job summary

Qaaf Resources Sdn. Bhd invites a Project Manager (Non SAP) to lead telco development projects in Malaysia. You will define plans, manage budgets, coordinate with vendors, and ensure quality control and handovers to operations.

Applicants should have 5–7 years in telecom projects, strong PMO experience, and capability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. A formal PM curriculum certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

Project Manager (Non SAP) - Telco Development

A professional at this position level must have the following responsibilities :-

Define the project plan and schedule, manage project procurement and coordinate with vendor to reach common agreement on timeline, milestones, deliverables and deadlines.

Adhere to the Project Management Office (PMO) requirements of the infrastructure PMOincluding creation of weekly/monthly status with updated schedule, budget and risk

Manage the project reporting which includes project log to incorporate all issues, action items, risks and reviewed it on a weekly/monthly basis with steering committee to identify eacalation and mitigation strategies.

Managing project budget and also managing resources.

Manage project implementation milestones, stake holder management and deliverables.

Understand and manage project contracts/agreements.

Coordinates and/orconduct all activities comply to Standards, Circulars, Regulations and Audit requirments.

Ensure system quality control during project implementation and comply as per customer requirement.

Ensure complete and adequate project handover documents, traininigs and support structure from vendor (if any) to Operations.

Document lesson learned and project closing activities.

Basic Qualifications

• Diploma , Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate in Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering or other related field
• 5 to 7 years of Telecommunication work experience, including 3 or more years managing projects
• At least 5 -7 years of demonstrated experience in Telecommunications Network
• At least 5 -7 years minimum of demonstrated experience in project management in any roll preferably within the Telecommunications Network and Fiber Optics OSP field
• Familiar with all common project management methodologies, concepts and procedures
• Possess good business acumen and able to build a strong relationship with internal and external customer
• Analytical, forward-thinking and self-organized
• Knowledge of common fiber optics network methodologies and construction method (UG,LV,HV)
• Knowledge of common telecommunication services likeSDH, USDH
• Passionate and ability to learn new technologies
• Experience in a 24/7/365 work schedule environment
• Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curiculum is required
• Working experience in GRID related work is an advantage

A professional at this position level must have the following responsibilities :-

• Develop and optimize internal process for IP network planning & dimensioning and HES & NEMS related activities for AMI network.
• Perform IP Planning & System capacity dimensioning for WAN & NAN and other transport related nodes in AMI project.
• Monitor WAN and transport network according to the agreed SLA.
• Study and propose AMI network architecture to meet the requirement in the SLA.
• Analyze statistical performance data, proactively improve KPI and end user experience through network optimization measures.
• Work with the operation, engineering, support team and relevant parties to troubleshoot core network problems. Identify core network issue and solve customer complaint.
• Support network roll out activity such as router integration & smart meter provisioning whenever required.
• Deliver System training and mentor technician/integrator as required.
• Assist in investigate of major AMI network disruption or failures.
• Set up quality audit process for RF Network Roll out and perform routine check on the process implementation and quality assurance.
• To coordinate and prepare paper requirement if needed for Procurement Process
• Perform study on design improvement to ensure the network design is reviewed frequently to meet the SLA and to improve SLA requirement to meet expectation from customer.
• Work closely with RF Team, Project Team and Operations Team to work on NCNR requirements and standards
