Neuron Solutions Sdn. Bhd. seeks an Electrical Engineer to monitor, operate, and maintain critical electrical infrastructure in a Data Centre environment. The incumbent will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors to ensure safe, compliant operations.
Responsibilities include reviewing SLDs, optimizing system reliability, and providing technical guidance during planned outages or incidents. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.
Monitor, operate, and maintain critical electrical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, ATS, STS, PDU, RPP, and EPMS.
Perform daily inspections, routine operational checks, and preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
Coordinate and supervise vendors during maintenance and repair activities.
Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with established procedures.
2. Emergency Response & Recovery
Execute Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP) during power outages, equipment failures, and other electrical incidents.
Support system recovery and stabilization following outages or planned maintenance.
Respond promptly to alarms and operational issues to minimize service disruption.
3. Monitoring & Reliability
Monitor the performance of electrical systems through EPMS and BMS.
Identify abnormalities, troubleshoot issues, and elevate critical findings when required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, availability and operational efficiency.
4. Technical Engineering Support
Develop, review, and maintain Method of Procedure (MOP), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP) documents.
Review switching sequences, maintenance plans, and operational activities.
Provide technical guidance during planned maintenance and electrical incidents.
5. Design & System Review
Review electrical drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and equipment configurations.
Assess system redundancy, load capacity, and operational risks.
Recommend engineering improvements to optimize system performance and reliability.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Data Centre, Critical Facilities, or Mission Critical Environment.
Strong knowledge of critical electrical systems, including UPS, generators, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, ATS, STS, PDU, and electrical distribution systems.
Familiarity with EPMS, BMS, and electrical monitoring systems.
Good understanding of maintenance practices, switching procedures, and electrical safety standards.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
