Job summary

GTSB in Shah Alam is seeking a NETWORK/PROJECT ENGINEER to design, coordinate and manage ELV projects including IT infrastructure, CCTV and access systems. You will oversee supervisors and subcontractors, ensure on-time delivery, and liaise with clients for seamless implementation.

The role requires 3+ years in Structured Cabling/IT/M&E, strong organization, and proactive communication. On-site work in Selangor with potential pre-sales support and documentation duties.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication/IT or Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge in IT infrastructure, networking hardware/software and wireless communications; ELV such as CCTV, Card Access System preferred.
• Familiar with construction drawings; VISIO, AUTOCAD and MS Project advantageous.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Must be responsible, committed, independent, pro-active with a can-do attitude.
• Minimum 3 years experience in project coordination/management in Structured Cabling, IT/M&E with on-site experience.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design and schematic drawings, project schedules, bills of materials, quality assurance documents and installation reports.
• Organize and monitor team of supervisors/technicians or sub-contractors for projects to ensure progress.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, compliant with designs and quality standards.
• Liaise with customers or third parties for smooth project implementation.
• Conduct regular on-site inspections to maintain quality and safety requirements.
• Prepare progressive and final project documentation before handover.
• Provide pre-sales support with site surveys and technical assistance to sales personnel.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports reflecting site progress.
• Plan daily tasks for the team as directed by management.
• Monitor site progress and report obstacles.
• ELV System Configuration (Security IT, Barriers).
• Assist in managing and maintaining company IT infrastructure.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues for internal users.
• Carry out other site/project related instructions by management.

NETWORK/PROJECT ENGINEER

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Diploma / Degree Computer Science, Telecommunication / Information Technology or Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge in IT infrastructure, networking hardware/software and wireless communications, ELV such as CCTV, Card Access System, etc. is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare design and schematic drawings, project schedules, bills of material requisition, quality assurance documents and installation reports.
• Organize, manage and monitor team of supervisors/technicians or sub-contractors for respective projects and sites to ensure targeted progress are achieved.
• Ensure successful execution of projects within the required time frame, according to the agreed designs, compliant to company quality standards and operating procedures.
• Liaise with customer or third parties to co-coordinate work necessary to ensure smooth project implementation.
• To conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and strict adherence to site safety and health requirements.
• Prepare necessary progressive and final project documentation before project handover.
• May from time to time provide pre-sales assistance to conduct site surveys and technical support to sales personnel.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports reflecting site progress.
• Plan daily tasks for the team as assigned by management.
• Monitor site progress and promptly report any obstructions or issues.
• ELV System Configuration (Security System, IT Infrastructure, and Barrier Gate System)
• Assist in managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, computers, printers, and related hardware.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues for internal users.
• Carry out other instructions related to the site or project as directed by the management.
