Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a project professional to plan, coordinate, and manage project implementations from start to finish on site in Malaysia. You will develop schedules and allocate resources, coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to drive successful delivery.

The role requires 2–5 years in project implementation or engineering, with experience in CCTV, ELV, security systems or ICT infrastructure. Knowledge of Genetec/Lenel/Axis is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ Civil Engineering or IT.
• PM Certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage project implementation from commencement to completion.
• Develop project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved according to the approved timeline.
• Coordinate with internal departments, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Attend project meetings, site meetings, and technical discussions.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance.
• Resolve technical issues encountered during project implementation.
• Ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers during project execution.
• Provide regular project status updates to customers and management.
• Manage customer expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handle project documentation, approvals, and change requests.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure remains within the approved budget.
• Prepare project progress reports and cost updates.
• Support variation order and claim submissions where applicable.
• Assist in procurement planning and material management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with occupational safety and health requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented where necessary.
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained throughout the project.
• Prepare project schedules, progress reports, meeting minutes, and completion reports.
• Maintain project documentation, including drawings, technical submissions, testing records, and handover documents.
• Update management on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and operational efficiency.
• Participate in post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Projects Department.

Required Skills

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in project implementation or engineering.
• Experience in CCTV, ELV, security systems, ICT infrastructure, networking, or data centre projects is preferred.
• Possess Genetec / Lenel / Axis product or system / Traka software / Key Maintenance system (KMS) is an advantage.
• Experience with other security system software would be an added advantage.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Project management principles.
• Installation and commissioning of CCTV, access control, alarm, networking, and ELV systems.
• Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling tools.
• Microsoft Office applications.
• AutoCAD (preferred).
• Knowledge of contract administration and project documentation.
