Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia invites a results-driven National Sales Manager to lead Retail and Wholesale channel strategy across Building Materials. You will drive revenue targets, expand presence, and strengthen distribution across Traditional Retail, Modern Trade, Distributors and E-commerce, ensuring broad geographic coverage and optimal product availability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail or channel sales within ASSA ABLOY or similar environments.
• Strong understanding of multi-channel retail (offline + e-commerce).
• Demonstrated ability to drive growth, manage key accounts, and deliver results.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Preferably from the same industry (ironmongery, building materials).

Responsibilities

• Deliver Retail revenue and order targets aligned with Malaysia’s business plan
• Execute channel strategies across Traditional Retail, Modern Trade, Distributors, and E-commerce
• Expand and strengthen our retail presence across Malaysia, ensuring comprehensive geographical coverage and maximizing product availability at all key customer touchpoints
• Identify and unlock new growth opportunities, including customer acquisition, retention, and reactivation
• Strengthen distribution coverage and improve product availability across all touchpoints
• Lead engagement with key retail accounts, distributors, and e-commerce platforms
• Drive joint business planning and execution with key partners
• Ensure strong in-store execution, trade activation, and digital visibility
• Continuously review performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Lead, coach, and develop the retail sales team to drive performance and engagement
• Set clear KPIs and accountability standards
• Foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture aligned with ASSA ABLOY values
• Support succession planning and talent development within the organization
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on product launches and assortment, pricing and margin, demand planning and stock availability
