Job summary

Schmaco Auto Parts Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a moulding supervisor to oversee the moulding line, coordinate activities, and ensure smooth operations on the shop floor.

You will set up work instructions, test new moulds, record machine parameters, and ensure proper storage and filing of mould settings.

The role requires planning changes, reviewing production orders, monitoring rubber compounds, and enforcing ISO standards while developing the team.

• Plan mould changes, daily work assignments, and manpower

• Monitor rubber compound availability and issue purchase requisitions when needed
• Ensure compliance with control procedures, specifications, and ISO standards
• Study, troubleshoot moulding issues and investigate mould damage
• Train and supervise moulding operators and enforce discipline

Job description

Supervise, coordinate, and monitor moulding line activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations

Set up and implement work instructions, procedures, and ensure they are strictly followed by all operators

Set up new moulds in machines, perform test runs, record machine parameters, and ensure correct mould setting according to established data

Ensure all mould settings for respective machines are properly recorded and filed for future reference

Plan and schedule mould changes, daily work assignments, and estimate manpower requirements

Review production orders, schedules, and delivery dates to ensure on-time delivery to next processes

Ensure rubber compound availability, issue purchase requisitions when necessary, and monitor compound usage before expiry of safety storage period

Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with control procedures, specifications, and ISO standards

Study, analyse and troubleshoot problems arising from the moulding section and investigate mould damage for corrective actions

Inspect moulds before and after usage, ensure proper storage according to the racking system, and maintain mould tidiness

Liaise with Product Development Department for mould repair and servicing according to schedule

Prepare preventive maintenance schedule for machines to minimize breakdown and ensure operational safety

Verify product counts, maintain accurate WIP records, and report discrepancies on goods received and issued

Document and record product quality, rejects, and non-conformities for analysis and improvement

Train, guide, motivate, and review the performance of moulding operators; identify training needs

Lead, supervise, and maintain discipline among subordinates while resolving grievances effectively

Enforce company policies, SOPs, workplace discipline, safety & health regulations, 5S, and housekeeping standards
