Job summary

Schmaco Auto Parts Industries Sdn Bhd in Rawang, Malaysia, seeks an experienced painter/blaster to ensure metal parts are blasted and painted per company specifications. The role requires strict adherence to procedures, daily production planning, and timely handover to the next processes.

The successful candidate will maintain clean, safe work areas, manage paints and brushes, provide training to painting personnel, and participate in production meetings to improve workflow and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Blast and paint metal parts according to company specifications.
• Follow procedures for chemical painting and blasting.
• Meet daily production targets and participate in meetings.
• Review production orders and ensure on-time delivery to next processes.
• Maintain proper storage, labeling and traceability of products.

Job description

• To ensure all the metal parts are properly blasted and painted according to the company specifications;


• To learn, understand and follow procedure, work instruction and method of chemical painting and blasting;


• To implement and improve work instruction and procedure, ensure they are being followed;


• To participate in production briefing and meetings, ensure proper daily planning of production;


• To review on production orders, schedules, delivery dates and ensure on time delivery of goods to next processes;


• To ensure that all products store at the proper area and labelled with correct description and quantity in container for traceability reference;


• To ensure correct counting of products quantity and ensure proper records of WIP slip;


• To inspect on product quality and quantity according to company standard, report any findings to superior or QC personnel;


• To set productivity target for all new items and ensure operators meeting daily target;


• To submit operators daily productivity report, output and performance of workers;


• To coordinate with purchasing department for requisition purchasing of of paint, brush and other material;


• To liaise with store supervisor on shortage of raw material or quality issue;


• To liaise with moulding supervisor on any urgency of order;


• To ensure all chemical are handled and preserved according to preservation plan and company’s requirement;


• To keep supplied tools and equipment in well maintenance and safe;


• To ensure all working areas and machinery are kept in clear, tidy and safe at all time;


• To provide related training to all painting personnel and ensure the effectiveness and awareness of the training;


• To maintain subordinates’ discipline and performances, motivate and resolve problem and grievances in a proper manner;


• To recommend, improve and report the effectiveness of process flow to superior;


• To ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness and adhesive of safety and health regulation;


• To adhere to the company’s rules and regulations as stipulated in the appointment letter;


• To perform any other related duties as assigned by your superior from time to time.
