Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in engineering/manufacturing.
• Prior leadership role in plastics or injection molding is advantageous.

Role Description

The Molding Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Batu Kawan. This role is responsible for overseeing daily injection moulding operations, including managing production schedules, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring product quality standards are met. The Molding Manager will lead and coach the molding team, coordinate shift activities, and verify that safety procedures and housekeeping practices are followed. The role includes troubleshooting molding issues, optimizing process parameters, minimizing scrap, and collaborating with maintenance and engineering on equipment reliability and new tool introductions. The Molding Manager will also prepare production reports, track key performance indicators, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastic injection molding operations, including machine setup, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Background in production or manufacturing management, with proven ability to lead teams and coordinate day-to-day plant activities.
• Knowledge of quality control practices, measurement tools, and standards relevant to plastics manufacturing.
• Understanding of safety regulations, workplace health and safety practices, and compliance in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet production targets.
• Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams such as maintenance, engineering, and quality.
• Ability to use basic manufacturing software, production reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a plastics or injection molding facility is an advantage.

Requirement

A minimum 10 years in this role with plastic injection molding work experience.
