Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Engineering Manager (Molding) to lead the engineering team of a contract manufacturing company delivering design, mold making, injection molding and assembly.

You will oversee daily activities, drive continuous improvement, lead NPI and CAPA, ensure ISO compliance, manage budgets and collaborate with Production, Quality, and R&D to meet targets.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3–5 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Experience in EMS, automotive, medical devices, semiconductor, or related manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Proven experience in project management, process improvement, and people management.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement.
• Familiar with PFMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and CAPA methodologies.
• Knowledge of automation systems and manufacturing technologies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team to achieve departmental and company objectives.
• Plan, organize, and monitor daily engineering activities to support production targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, yield, and cost efficiency.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI), process validation, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Develop, optimize, and standardize manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Oversee equipment installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Manage engineering projects, including timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and R&D to resolve technical issues.
• Analyze manufacturing data and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Lead root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, and DOE.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Support customer audits, supplier audits, and internal audits.
• Manage engineering budgets, capital expenditure (CAPEX), and equipment investment.
• Drive automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
