Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking a dedicated process/equipment technician for its electronics manufacturing environment. The role focuses on setting up machine parameters, optimizing yields, and monitoring process performance across shifts.

Responsibilities include conducting SC testing, GR&R, operator training, and DOE experiments, with strict adherence to quality criteria. The 100% onsite position requires hands-on troubleshooting and timely shift reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical technology is required.
• Experience in electronics/semiconductor manufacturing as process or equipment technician.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use MS Office for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Understand all machine and process parameter settings; set up and optimize to maximize yield.
• Monitor yield during the shift and fix process issues as they arise.
• Monitor SPC charts and correct out-of-control parameters.
• Perform machine/process buy-off, qualification; conduct GR&R and correlation tests.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand all machine/process parameter settings and controls. Set-up and optimize machine settings to get best yield.
• Monitor yield and fix process issues with-in the shift.
• Monitor SPC charts and perform correction on out of control parameters.
• Machine/process buy-off, qualification. Performs shear test/golden units testing, GR&R, correlation.
• Train/qualify operators with work instruction, procedures, visual/mechanical inspection criteria.
• Carry out experiments/DOE as instructed by Engineers.
• Verify rejects and do quick process/machine correction to fix the problem.
• Send out shiftly report.

Education & Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical technology.
• Experience in electronics/semiconductor manufacturing as process technician or equipment technician.

Skills

• Knows Microsoft office: Excel, PPT, Word.
• Machine hands on/trouble shooting.
• SPC and 7QC Tools.

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite.
• Will be assigned to either 3 shift pattern (Q,R,S)
