Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Ipoh, Malaysia, is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support stable production operations and continuous improvement across manufacturing lines.

The role focuses on process setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting, with collaboration across Process Engineers, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams. Knowledge of SPC/Lean concepts and Excel proficiency are advantageous for data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor7s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic, Industrial, Materials, or equivalent).
• Experience in a semiconductor, electronics, optical, or precision manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Support new product introduction (NPI), engineering builds, process qualifications, and validation activities.
• Work closely with Process Engineers, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance yield, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies while maintaining good housekeeping practices.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Education & Experience

Working Conditions

• This role is 100% onsite.


• Able to work in shifts. May be required to support overtime.


• Required to work in a manufacturing cleanroom environment and comply with all EHS and cleanroom protocols.
