Job summary

Coherent Corp. Malaysia, Ipoh, is seeking a technician to support daily production activities and 2nd level debugging. You will assist shift leads, troubleshoot PCBA modules, monitor rework yield, and help ship assemblies. Training for new intake is part of the role.

Qualified candidates hold a Diploma in Engineering with electronics focus, with strong circuit-diagram literacy and familiarity with test instruments. This is an onsite position in Ipoh, within a global lasers and optics company.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with electronics focus.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and troubleshoot PCBA.
• Familiarity with test instruments and optical components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists shift lead on daily routine job.
• Perform 2nd level debugging and minor rework on failed modules (e.g., OSA swapping, PCBA probing).
• Monitor rework yield and scrap cost.
• Assist production to complete shipments.
• Train new intake (Technician & Debug Operators).

• Required to perform 2nd level debugging . (Example:- Perform minor rework on the fail module such as OSA swapping, PCBA probing and etc...)
• Monitor rework yield and scrap cost
• Support production to make Shipment
• Train up the new intake (Technician & Debug Operators)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists shift lead or assistance shift leads on daily routine job
• Required to perform 2nd level debugging . (Example:- Perform minor rework on the fail module such as OSA swapping, PCBA probing and etc...)
• Monitor rework yield and scrap cost
• Assist PE evaluation/spec file qual/ Debug Finding & SBR built
• Support production to make Shipment
• Support On Line Debug & Clear debug WIP
• Train up the new intake (Technician & Debug Operators)

Education & Experience

• Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Optoelectronics or Telecommunications)

Skills

• With good computer literacy, good communication skill and reporting of information/ data.
• Familiar with circuit diagrams and a strong background in Electronics.
• Familiarity with test instruments (Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Experience in troubleshooting PCBA preferred.
• Can work independently and work with support teams as needed.
• Has basic knowledge of optical circuit, circuit analysis, problem solving and master the use of optical module test instruments.
