Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Merchandising/Purchasing Executive to manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers from Shah Alam. The role involves tracking product lifecycles, reporting, and ensuring timely deliveries to support brand strategy.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Business Administration or Textile/Fashion Design, can communicate in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia, and has at least two years of relevant retail merchandising or purchasing experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Business Administration or Textile/Fashion Design or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in merchandising or purchasing in retail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor inventory, product life cycle, reporting and related admin to support brand strategy.
• Oversee shipment fulfilment and delivery schedules to ensure timely supplier deliveries.
• Analyze product performance via system reports and advise on seasonal buys, stock movements, reorders, promotions or markdowns.
• Maintain inventory health across channels: Ecom, Retail and Department Stores.
• Liaise with suppliers on orders and monitor manufacturing progress and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with HQ and subsidiaries on product needs and feedback on range.
• Perform merchandising admin tasks: update catalogues, stock codes, barcodes and pricing updates.
• Prepare merchandising reports as required by the company.

• Managing and monitoring inventory, product life cycle, reporting and other general administration and activities that relate to the successful implementation of brand strategy.
• Managing and monitor shipment fulfilment and delivery schedule to ensure timely delivery from suppliers.
• Analysis of product performance through system generated reports and to make recommendation on new seasonal buys, stock movement, reorders, promotion, or markdowns whenever necessary.
• Managing inventory health of channels assigned – Ecom, Retail and Department Stores.
• Liaise with suppliers on product orders and monitor manufacturing progress and delivery to ensure it’s on time.
• Co-ordinate with HQ and other subsidiaries regarding products required and feedback on existing range.
• Perform various merchandising administrative functions such as update catalogues, creation of stock codes, printing of bar codes and updating of pricing.
• Prepare merchandising reports as required by the company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Business Administration, Textile/Fashion Design or equivalent.
• Able to communicate, read and write in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Executives in Merchandising or Purchasing department in the retail industry.
