Manage and lead the merchandising team to ensure smooth execution of customer orders. This role involves managing the complete merchandising process from product development, sampling, costing, order confirmation, production follow-up, and shipment. You will work closely with the Factory Manager, Production, PPC, QA/QC, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure production targets are achieved.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and lead the merchandising team to ensure smooth execution of customer orders.
- Communicate and coordinate with customers on product specifications, costing, order requirements, delivery schedules, and changes.
- Manage the complete merchandising process from product development, sampling, costing, order confirmation, production follow-up, and shipment.
- Work closely with the Factory Manager, Production, PPC, QA/QC, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Monitor production progress and identify potential delays, capacity issues, material shortages, and production constraints.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure orders are manufactured according to approved samples, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Monitor raw material and accessories status to ensure materials are available according to the production schedule.
- Follow up on sampling, lab dips, fabric approvals, trims, accessories, and technical specifications.
- Review and monitor T&A (Time and Action) calendars to ensure all critical milestones are achieved.
- Work with the factory team to resolve production, quality, technical, and delivery issues.
About you
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Textile, Apparel, Fashion, Merchandising, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in apparel/textile merchandising, preferably with managerial or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of textile and garment manufacturing processes.
- Good understanding of factory operations, production planning, capacity, manpower, efficiency, quality control, and production lead time.
- Experience working closely with Factory Manager, Production Manager, PPC, QA/QC, and other manufacturing departments.
- Strong knowledge of fabric, trims, garment construction, specifications, sampling, costing, and production processes.
- Excellent understanding of T&A, order management, production follow-up, and shipment schedules.
- Strong customer communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
