Sumos (M) is seeking a proactive Merchandiser Executive in Malaysia to coordinate customer orders with Sales, Production, Warehouse and Delivery teams. You will ensure orders align with customer requirements and are delivered on time, while maintaining strong client relationships and efficient communication.

The role offers exposure to FMCG and food manufacturing, with responsibilities spanning order coordination, stock monitoring and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level qualification or higher in business-related field.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, sales, merchandising, or customer service.
• Strong communication and customer relationship abilities.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Warehouse and Delivery to ensure orders are fulfilled.
• Maintain relationships with customers and partners, and handle inquiries and issues.
• Track orders, schedules, stock, and deliveries to meet customer requirements.
• Communicate order status and any issues to relevant teams for timely action.
• Ensure accurate processing and timely dispatch of customer orders.

We are looking for a proactive, organised and people-oriented Merchandiser Executive to join our growing food manufacturing business. In this role, you will work closely with our customers, Sales, Production, Warehouse and Delivery teams to ensure customer orders are well coordinated and products are delivered according to customer requirements. This is a hands-on role that offers exposure to FMCG, food manufacturing, customer relationship management, order coordination and market development.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain good working relationships with existing customers and business partners.
• Communicate with customers regarding product orders, availability, delivery schedules and other related matters.
• Receive, coordinate and follow up on customer orders with the Sales, Production and Warehouse teams.
• Monitor order status and ensure customer requirements are communicated clearly to the relevant departments.
• Follow up on customer enquiries, requests, complaints and other issues until resolution.
• Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered according to agreed requirements.
• Coordinate with Production and Warehouse teams to monitor product availability and order fulfilment.
• Follow up on production schedules and stock availability for customer orders.
• Liaise with the relevant team regarding delivery arrangements and ensure orders are ready for dispatch.
• Monitor stock movement and highlight potential shortages or urgent requirements to the relevant team.

About you

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Retail Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, sales, merchandising, customer service or a related field.
• Experience in the food & beverage, FMCG or food manufacturing industry will be highly advantageous.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
• Good coordination, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, responsible and able to work independently.
• Able to work effectively with different departments and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.
