Job description

As a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) at ALPHA INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing facilities in Kangkar Tebrau, Johor. This is a full‑time position, responsible for the maintenance and repair of our mechanical equipment and machinery.

What you'll be doing

Performing scheduled preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical breakdowns and malfunctions

Conducting inspections and identifying potential issues before they become problems

Inspect, service, install and replace mechanical components

Assist in machine improvement and modification

Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance

Collaborating with the production team to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency

Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

What we're looking for

Relevant technical diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Minimum 1 years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Basic welding, cutting and fabrication

Mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Proficient in the use of mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication skills to effectively liaise with production personnel
