Job summary

Armstrong Auto Parts Sdn Bhd in Penang is looking for a maintenance technician to repair facility equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure the workshop stays in good condition. You will join a team that reports to the supervisor, participates in morning meetings, maintains 5S standards, and applies welding, electrical, and mechanical skills with a strong work ethic.

You will collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve issues promptly and contribute to ongoing improvement

Qualifications

• Certificate of professional qualification in electrical or electromechanical or mechanical or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year related working experience.
• Welding skills, interpersonal skills, adaptability & strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Repair facility equipment and maintain facilities to good condition.
• Follow up and report progress on issues to superior.
• Report problems during morning meetings.
• Check equipment/machines are in good working condition.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance with relevant personnel.
• Walk the line at start of shift to gather production feedback.
• Maintain 5S in the maintenance workshop.
• No assistance from machine maintenance team on urgent requests.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as directed by superior.
• Perform other tasks as required by Management.
• Drive, implement and maintain the company’s Management System for compliance and sustainability.

Job description

1. To carry out repair of facility related equipment and unkeep of facilities properties in good condition.

2. To follow up and update the progress of finding issues and report to immediate superior for further.

3. To report problems relating to daily work to superior during morning meeting.

4. To check and ensure the facility equipment/machines are in good working condition.

5. To carry out with necessary personnel for the periodically maintenance as per schedule.

6. To walk the line in the beginning of shift and get feedback from production for any feedback.

7. To ensure well maintain 5s of the maintenance workshop.

8. No assist machine maintenance team upon request by superior especially during urgency.

9. To perform any other reasonable tasks as and when directed by superior.

10. To perform other tasks as and when required by Management from time to time.

11. To drive, implement and maintain the company's Management System to ensure compliance with applicable standards and to successfully achieve and sustain.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Academic Qualifications - Certificate of professional qualification in electrical or electromechanical or mechanical or equivalent

Experience - Minimum 1 years related working experiences
