Job summary

JHM Consolidation Berhad in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia is seeking maintenance professionals to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT back-end equipment and related systems. Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in EMS, SMT, or electronics manufacturing.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
• Hands-on troubleshooting in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation systems.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance systems and machine documentation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and support shift operations when required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT/Backend equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Analyze failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.

• Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure availability.

Job description

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance on SMT backend equipment, including:

SMT - solder paste printer, Pick & place mounter, reflow oven, SPI, AOI & Xray.ave Soldering Machines

Backend - Wave soldering/selective wave soldering machine, router, Heat staking, robotic soldering, Thermal grease dispensing, conformal coating

Test - ICT, FCT, OE Tester

Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and machine abnormalities to minimize production downtime.

Analyze machine failures, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvement actions to enhance machine reliability and efficiency.

Support production activities by ensuring all equipment is operating in good condition and meeting production requirements.

Coordinate with external service providers and equipment vendors for maintenance, repair, and machine upgrades.

Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure critical spare parts availability.

Assist in machine installation, commissioning, relocation, and qualification activities.

Prepare maintenance records, equipment history reports, and technical documentation.

Perform machine calibration verification and ensure compliance with quality and customer requirements.

Assist in fixture, jig, and test equipment maintenance to ensure optimum performance.

Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve equipment uptime, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Provide technical support and basic training to operators and technicians on machine operation and maintenance best practices.

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety regulations, ESD requirements, and quality standards.

Requirements :

Diploma or Certificate in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in EMS, SMT, or electronics manufacturing environment.

Able to read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.

Hands-on troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation systems.

Familiar with preventive maintenance systems and machine documentation.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and support shift operations when required.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.
