Job summary

Syarikat Jaya Tugas Industri Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Mechanical & Electrical to safeguard our production line efficiency in Perai, Penang. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance to keep machines reliable and safe for daily operations.

You will follow strict safety procedures, apply LOTO where required, and repair or service equipment to minimize downtime while documenting maintenance activities and parts used.

Qualifications

• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and maintenance work instructions.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before carrying out maintenance work where applicable.
• Ensure machines are safely isolated before repair or servicing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on production machines and equipment.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components according to maintenance schedules.
• Perform lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, tightening, replacement, and servicing of equipment.
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
• Repair or replace defective components to restore equipment operation.
• Perform basic electrical inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, relocation, and modification of machines and equipment.
• Record machine breakdowns, repair activities, spare parts used, and downtime.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL

This is a maintenance technician role focused on keeping production machines and equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on production machines and equipment

Inspect mechanical and electrical components according to maintenance schedules

Perform lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, tightening, replacement, and servicing of equipment

Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and equipment failures

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems

Repair or replace defective components to restore equipment operation

Perform basic electrical inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance

Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery

Assist with installation, commissioning, relocation, and modification of machines and equipment

Record machine breakdowns, repair activities, spare parts used, and downtime

About you
