Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical HW Engineer to design and develop mechanical sub-systems for professional and mission-critical markets, ensuring MIL-STD/ETSI compliance. You will work with a team of engineers to create designs using CAD and simulation tools, and integrate hardware with software during development.

The role requires Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, strong communication, independence, and a passion for exploring new tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Team-focused and highly self-motivated with a desire to explore new approaches and technology.
• Attain good debug skills with simulation test-benches and hardware emulation as well as provide functional verification, and manufacturing support.
• Experience with CAD tools Pro/Engineer and simulations ABAQUS, ANSYS, CFDesign, Icepak and ProMechanica.
• Familiar with Scrum/Agile/SAFe methodologies will be added advantages
• Knowledge of Motorola DFSS and 6-sigma methodologies will be added advantages

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical sub-systems to meet MIL-STD/ETSI specifications.
• Collaborate with electrical hardware and software teams during product development.
• Provide engineering analysis using finite/boundary element analysis, CFD and modeling tools.
• Correlate simulations with experimental data to optimize design using DFSS.
