Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Penang, Malaysia invites an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to new product development from concept to mass production. You will design and verify power electronics, batteries and chargers, perform DFMEA, and release electrical prints and qualification reports for complex products used in mission-critical applications.

The role requires 5+ years in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, strong schematic and circuit analysis skills, and familiarity with

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
Strong understanding of schematic design and circuit analysis.
Experience with battery and charger design and testing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of hazardous location certification (ATEX, TIA, INMETRO, MSHA, CSA or UL) preferred.
Familiar with digital signals like I2C and related test procedures.
Familiar with design for manufacturing & assembly concepts.

Responsibilities

Be involved in new product development from concept to mass production.
Prepare new product concept designs meeting customer requirements and safety guidelines.
Perform electrical tolerance analysis and DFMEA.
Support prototype/pilot builds and conduct electrical verification tests.
Release electrical prints and parts qualification reports.
Evaluate complex components and develop test procedures and fixtures.
Participate in testing and evaluation of designs to ensure functional compliance.
