Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Fresh Graduate Mechanical Engineer in Penang, Malaysia, to design and develop robust, mission-critical devices for diverse markets. You will work on concept designs, 3D modeling, BOM release, and DFM-focused development with manufacturing partners.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Self-motivated, assertive, results driven, and delivering strong outcomes within deadlines.
Experience in mechanical design from concept through production release with focus on DFM.
Experience with manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, casting, metal stamping, plastic bonding, and PCBA & Electromechanical assembly is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to present data using statistics.
Proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D drawings; Pro/E Creo is a plus.
Ability to communicate and present conceptual ideas to technical audiences.
Team player with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Design and develop robust, mission-critical mechanical subsystems for commercial, government, and industrial markets.
Prepare concept designs of mechanical subsystems meeting customer and safety requirements.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings per drafting standards and release mechanical prints.
Set up and maintain BOM; support mold trials and prototypes.
Perform DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and root cause analysis; provide test reports and data.
