Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Penang seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to drive product development from concept to mass production, ensuring customer expectations, design rules, and safety guidelines are met.

You will design with 3D CAD, create detailed 2D drawings, perform DFMEA and tolerance analysis, support prototype builds, and document test reports. You’ll manage BOMs and ensure compliance for energy products like batteries and chargers.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of mechanical engineering and end-to-end product development experience.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and generating detailed 2D drawings.
• Experience with DFMEA and mechanical tolerance analysis.
• Knowledge of energy product safety standards for batteries and chargers.
• Strong written communication for technical reports and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development from concept to mass production while meeting customer expectations and safety guidelines.
• Design and draft using CAD to produce models and drawings.
• Perform DFMEA and tolerance analysis to ensure reliability.
• Support prototype builds, conduct mechanical verification tests, and document results.
• Manage BOMs, release prints, and compile technical details for manuals.
• Ensure safety compliance of energy products throughout design and assembly.
