Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate work schedules for maintenance staff.
• Coordinate maintenance projects with multiple teams.
• Prepare engineering drawings and order required materials.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot machinery breakdowns and prepare technical reports.
• Work closely with suppliers on design and servicing.
• Support maintenance activities and undertake additional responsibilities.

Job description

We are looking for Mechanical Engineers and Senior Mechanical Engineers to join our client's Maintenance / M&E team in Malaysia. The role involves planning and coordinating maintenance activities, managing engineering projects, and ensuring optimal equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate work schedules for maintenance staff and workers


• Coordinate maintenance projects closely with the Maintenance, Production, Compounding, and Chlorination teams


• Prepare engineering drawings for projects and coordinate the ordering of required materials


• Develop and maintain SOPs and preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment


• Troubleshoot machinery and equipment breakdowns and prepare technical reports


• Work closely with suppliers on machine design, servicing, and technical requirements


• Support maintenance activities and take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline


• Senior Mechanical Engineer: Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical experience


• Senior Mechanical Engineer: Strong experience in machine maintenance and technical troubleshooting


• Junior Mechanical Engineer: Fresh graduates are welcome


• Strong follow-up, negotiation, and problem-solving skills


• Results-oriented with a proactive approach to work


• Pleasant personality with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels


• Willing and able to work 12-hour shifts, including night shifts
