Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to design and develop factory facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards in Malaysia. You will prepare electrical drawings and BOMs, coordinate installations, and troubleshoot faults to improve productivity and energy efficiency.

The role requires 2+ years experience in mechanical/electrical engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical, and the ability to maintain technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, and/or SolidWorks Electrical.
• Ability to develop, modify, and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to facilitate communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for factory facilities in compliance with Malaysian regulations, engineering standards, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with company policies, statutory regulations, and applicable industry standards.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, technical reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
• Provide technical support and recommend improvements to enhance productivity, energy efficiency, equipment reliability, and workplace safety.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements :

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, EPLAN, and/or SolidWorks Electrical.

• Experience in the manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.

• Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
