Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a senior electrical/software engineer to design and implement integrated automation solutions for manufacturing. You will oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems while developing software to boost operational efficiency.

The role requires 8–10 years’ experience in manufacturing environments, strong PLC and SCADA expertise, and proven project leadership. CAD and simulation skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Software Engineering or related discipline
• 8–10 years of experience in electrical engineering and/or software development in manufacturing/industrial settings
• Proficient in electrical system design, PLC programming, and industrial automation
• Programming skills in C, C++, Python, or Java
• Experience with SCADA/HMI and industrial control software
• Knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations for manufacturing
• Proven project management experience leading teams on complex technical projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities
• Certifications such as CESCO or CEng desirable
• Experience with CAD, simulation tools, and design software preferred

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering and/or software development within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Advanced proficiency in electrical system design, PLC programming, and industrial automation
  • Strong software development skills with experience in languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java
  • Demonstrated experience with SCADA systems, HMI applications, or similar industrial control software
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing
  • Proven project management experience, including the ability to lead teams and manage complex technical projects
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities in both written and verbal forms
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Electrical Safety Compliance (CESCO), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and technical design software is preferred
