Job summary

Molex Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a Mechanical Product Design Engineer for plastics and sheet metal. You will design and develop high-power interconnect products, collaborating with Product Management, Sales, and Manufacturing to deliver robust solutions.

You will apply 3D CAD modeling (NX), perform DVP&R, tolerances, and BOM management, and contribute to continuous improvement and quality across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant product design experience.
• Experience supporting product development through lifecycle.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD design and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for New Product Developments, MODs, standard product options, and legacy maintenance projects.
• Plan and execute projects ensuring deliverables and timelines are met.
• Collaborate with customers, Product Management, and Sales to develop VOC-aligned solutions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Lead engineering activities to meet customer expectations and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop and maintain product models, drawings, specifications, DVP&R, and tolerance analyses.
